Fall Leaves & New Colors

Fall is officially in full swing here in the Willamette Valley. There have been plenty of grey days, lots of rain, and beautiful colors on the trees. Thankfully, we still have a few sunny days mixed in here and there. I’m about 3 weeks from Baby Girl’s due date and nesting mode has begun. Clothes have been sorted, washed, and put away, the car seat is installed, supplies are gathered, emergency bags packed, essentials purchased and we’re working on finishing up a few projects around the house. I’m excited to meet our little one! For months I’ve been feeling more anxiety about having two kids than excitement, but in the last couple weeks I feel mostly excited which is a huge relief. I know it will be a huge transition for our family, but in the long run it’s going to be a good one.

These last few weeks where Bug is an only child feel so precious and I want to take full advantage of them. It’s difficult sometimes because he fights naps and I’m exhausted and he’s fully hit the “threenager” stage which is very trying on us all, but there are more good moments than bad so we’re doing ok. We’ve been spending a lot of time reading, playing, and being outside. There have been many, many slow toddler (and pregnant mama) paced walks and I have decided fall is officially my favorite. What’s not to love? Puddles to jump in, leaves to crunch, and it’s not HOT anymore!

All our time outside, the beautiful weather, and the changing leaves have inspired me – which is good because I’ve been trying to stock up my inventory so I don’t run out once baby gets here. Here are some of the latest pieces I’ve been working on. You can find them all in my Etsy shop here. If you’re in Salem you can also shop locally at Top Drawer and The Fussy Duck. I hope everyone is having a wonderful fall!
